The District’s Spaces
Located in the southwestern part of Palma, La Soledad Sur is a residential area that has an enviable historical and architectural heritage, offering a mix of traditional neo-gothic architecture and large, modern-style industrial spaces.
Art & Design District Palma is formed by three main spaces located at street level and a rooftop. Embodying the spirit of innovation and creativity, these areas will serve as focal points within the district hosting international galleries and artists, creating a sense of community and artistic expression.
Studio 24
This is one of the main spaces of Art & Design District Palma: Gary Hill’s studio. This space is situated at the heart of the District, embodying artistic exploration and expression. As one of the focal points of the project, Gary Hill’s studio is a testament to the district’s commitment to showcasing renowned artists and fostering creative excellence.
Located at street level, the industrial space spans approximately 400 square meters, offering an expansive and versatile environment. It showcases an industrial style, featuring visible iron beams and a recently reformed ceiling soaring to a height of about 5 meters.
The walls are constructed from marés, a light-colored, porous stone typical of Mallorca, adding a touch of local authenticity. The polished cement floor complements the industrial vibe, providing a sleek and durable surface.
The interior is well-equipped to meet a variety of needs, including bathroom, storage room and office, providing practical spaces for organization and administrative tasks.
At the rear of the space, a door opens to a backyard, creating a serene outdoor area. This backyard also offers direct connectivity to the adjoining gallery space number 26, presenting opportunities for expansion or collaborative projects.
Space 26
Located at street level, this industrial space has approximately 350m2.
The space retains its original character with several appealing features. The interior boasts high ceilings, reaching around 4 meters, providing an airy and spacious feel. The layout includes a bathroom and a storage room, catering to various needs. Accessibility is a key feature, with two independent entries.
Towards the rear of the space, a door opens to a back garden, offering an outdoor area and direct connectivity to an adjoining garage, providing additional flexibility and potential for expansion.

Studio 31
This former car body and painting workshop called Talleres La Soledad, is now one of the main spaces of Art & Design District Palma.
Spanning approximately 350 square meters, this workshop retains its original character, featuring high ceilings and walls adorned with vintage blue tiles. The expansive interior is flooded with natural light, making it an ideal environment for creative endeavors.
Entering the workshop, you’ll find two large garage doors, each about 3 meters high, providing convenient street access from Calle Siquier and Calle Rector Petro. These grand entrances not only enhance the space’s workshop ambiance but also facilitate the easy movement of large artworks and installations.
The workshop’s layout includes a painting laboratory, a bathroom and two small storage rooms. These storage rooms are ideal for keeping tools, materials, and equipment neatly organized and out of sight.
Above the workshop, a building adds an extra layer of urban charm, providing a unique architectural contrast and a sense of history to the space. This blend of old and new, industrial and artistic, makes the workshop a truly distinctive part of Palma’s Art District. Rooftop
Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of La Soledad, this expansive 200 square meter rooftop offers panoramic views to the city. It is located next to Parroquia de La Soledat, offering a perfect view of the neo gothic architecture building.
The rooftop features a fully equipped independent studio serving as an ideal private retreat, perfect for long-term stays or hosting overnight guests.
The expansive open-air area of the rooftop is ideal for hosting social gatherings and events.
