DESCRIPTION:The local sound collective Pimienta returns to the Art & Design District Palma for a special listening session marking the opening of Art Cologne Palma Art Fair. \n\n\n\nOn Thursday\, April 9th\, Pimienta takes over Space 31—a repurposed car workshop turned raw\, atmospheric venue—for an immersive sonic experience. Known for their carefully curated selections and spatial approach to sound\, the collective invites audiences into a mode of deep listening\, where music unfolds as a shared\, sensory encounter. \n\n\n\nThe lineup brings together Memory Palace\, a Colombian DJ based in Barcelona working across IDM\, bass\, techno\, and trance; Federico Testa\, an Italian audiovisual artist shaped by 16 years in Berlin and now based in Mallorca; and Defled\, the project of Mallorcan-born producer Pere Cánovas. \n\n\n\nMoving fluidly between ambient\, electronic\, and experimental territories\, the session unfolds through blurred textures and stretched vocal fragments that dissolve into near-unrecognizable forms\, creating a sense of weightlessness. These artists weave an atmospheric and immersive experience that explores the relationship between sound\, space\, and perception. Rhythms spiral inward as melodies tighten the room into a shared pulse\, evolving from subtle nuances into resonant layers that invite a deep\, almost subconscious shift in listening. \n\n\n\nSet against the industrial character of Space 31\, the session creates a dynamic dialogue between sound\, architecture\, and audience\, becoming a distinctive highlight within the wider program of the fair.
